Spain: First Islamic TV

The first Islamic radio and TV station in Spanish will be launched by Saudi Arabia next Ramadan.

According to Time Turk, the satellite network 'Cordoba' will address millions of Hispanic Muslims and non-Muslims around the world.

Sheik Abdel Aziz Al Fawzan, head of the Spanish site Risalat al-Islam, said that the new channel will be centered in Spain. There are two million Hispanics in the Americas, Africa and Spain, but this will be the first Islamic TV station.

The new station will offer broadcasts on the basics of Islam, propagating Islamic teachings, discourses by Muslim scholars and Koran recitations by prominent reciters from the Muslim world.
